The Discovery Phase

In the Discovery phase, Sandra was the first client to experience my new process, using Coda.io.  It proved to be a transformative experience for both of us. This environment served as the hub for all project-related activities, ensuring easy access to resources, maintaining our shared planning, and providing an ideal space for hosting workshops. It enabled us to effectively manage the project and gather all the vital information we needed for success.

To discover the visual identity that resonated with Sandra's energy, we embarked on a series of workshops and created mood boards, resulting in three distinct style directions. While Style A leaned heavily towards spirituality with its deep purple hues, and Style B embodied fiery energy with reds and dark browns, neither fully captured Sandra's essence. However, we found common ground in merging elements from both, creating a unique blend we affectionately termed 'Heart Fire.' This fusion not only reflects Sandra's spiritual connection and fiery energy but also her dedication to spreading love and promoting integrity.

Establishing a Visual Identity

To combat the dullness of plain backgrounds, I infused vibrancy and dynamism by seamlessly blending colors with abstract background images. This technique not only adds visual interest but also prevents the website from feeling flat, ensuring a captivating user experience that resonates with the 'heart fire' vibe at the core of Sandra's mission.

Drawing inspiration from Sandra's moodboard, I identified her affinity for symbols like the Venus rose and lotus flowers. By merging these elements, I crafted a distinctive logo that encapsulates the essence of her vision and personality. This logo serves as a visual anchor, symbolizing love, growth, and spiritual exploration.

In addition to the logo, I created extra assets such as custom-made icons and business cards. These supplementary elements further reinforce Sandra's brand identity across various touchpoints, creating a cohesive and memorable brand experience.

For font choices, we opted for PP Migra as the display font. Its unique, spiky serif design adds an academic feel, aligning with Sandra's wisdom and expertise. Additionally, its sparkle and grace complement the overall aesthetic. For the body font, we selected Work Sans for its clean, professional feel and excellent legibility, ensuring a seamless reading experience for users.

UX Design & Content Strategy

Through meticulous site mapping and wireframing, we solidified a strong content strategy, prioritizing essential content and ensuring easy navigation for users.

This process involved defining crucial customer journeys, enabling us to establish a solid foundation that facilitates a seamless flow of information, enhancing user experience and maximizing conversion rates.

Webflow Development

In this project, I strictly followed the Client-First framework, known as the industry standard for Webflow development. This framework ensures that the website not only looks visually stunning but is also highly functional and scalable. Its structured approach simplifies global changes and promotes intuitive post-launch management, making it accessible for all levels of expertise.

Additionally, I prioritized optimization for performance by sizing and compressing all images meticulously. I utilized GSAP, alongside custom CSS, to seamlessly integrate advanced animations and achieve the ideal effects. Moreover, leveraging localization capabilities, I implemented language toggling functionality to cater to both English and Spanish-speaking audiences. A comprehensive testing plan was executed to ensure that the website functions seamlessly across various devices, browsers, and languages. This thorough testing process guarantees a smooth user experience, regardless of the user's platform or language preference.

SEO optimized

To set Sandra up for success I build the site following all technical SEO best practices. Setting up: proper headings, title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup, image alt text, canonical tag and much more. I used the Ahrefs site audit to detect any left over issues and achieved a 100% SEO health score.

On top of that I gave Sandra a tailored checklist to ensure anyone that makes content for her site follows all the best practices to make the content rank in google.
